On 2<sup>nd</sup> November 2024, SOAS Centre of Yoga Studies (CYS) and the British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) are collaborating to hold an inaugural Autumn Summit, which will be themed "Yoga: Health, Harm, and Healing."</div>

The full-day programme is divided into three themed panels, featuring prominent researchers from fields, such as medicine, criminology, neuroscience and religious studies. </div>

Prof. Rosie Meek of Royal Holloway University of London will discuss her most recent project as lead on a multi-disciplinary study of the use of yoga and meditation in prisons, undertaken for the UK Ministry of Justice.</div>

<i>The Principles and Practice of Yoga in Health Care</i>, will consider the integration of yoga and yoga therapy within the medical field, specifically the evaluation of yoga for insomnia, chronic stress, and anxiety-related disorders in workplace and public
school settings.</div>
