Samādhipāda: The First Chapter of the Pātañjalayogaśāstra for the First Time Critically Edited

This book is the published version of Philipp Maas PhD thesis, a critical edition of the Pātañjalayogaśāstra, i.e. the Yogasūtra of Patañjali together with its primary commentary, the Bhāṣya, which Maas in his introduction (in German) suggests has also been authored by Patañjali. His edition covers only the first of four books the whole work consists of, and since 2006 more manuscript material has become available, including its oldest known manuscript from Jaisalmer, such that the edition should be revisited.
